Cleaning support

Aware that several senior citizens are reluctant to buy cleaning services because of the fees they have to pay, the board of directors of Norðoya Bú- og Heimatænasta has agreed to provide cleaning assistance to those people who have only ordinary pensions as an income base and an estimated need for support for cleaning.

The financial assistance includes cleaning equivalent to a maximum of one hour per week.

With the support of NBH, the user fee for the cleaning will be Kr. 150 per hour.

NBH has entered into an agreement with the cleaning company Sp/f Grundvask v/ Margit and Sámal Petur í Grund to provide the cleaning service.

Apply for a service

Once the NBH has received the application, the application will be handed over to the NBH visitor, who will visit to assess eligibility and needs. Funding for assistance is contingent on the visitor's assessment that cleaning assistance is needed.
