The “Sóljan” day-care center
The “Sóljan” day-care is a day retreat for local senior citizens in the Northern Islands.
The purpose of the day-care is to encourage citizens to be active in their own lives. Emphasis is placed on health-promoting and preventive activities. All senior citizens living at home in the Northern Islands are warmly welcomed to cozy get-togethers during daytime events.
The “Sóljan” Day-care is open to all senior citizens on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 13:00 to 16:00. Fridays the center is open to referred citizens and open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The “Sóljan” Day-care is thus a composite possibility that is both open and referred.
Citizens have the option of receiving a home visit if further information is needed about this offer. This will be done by appointment with the staff at the “Sóljan” Day-care.
Program
The activities of the day-care are organized in close cooperation with the users. Thus, it is the needs and interests of those who are active in the day-care events that make up the agenda.
Activities are diverse and include, among other things, singing, knitting, board games like pop, and easy physical exercise.
A few times a year, excursions are also organized, where everyone who is taking part in the activities at the day-care center has the opportunity to participate.
The “Sóljan” Day-care center always offers a good cup of tea or coffee.
Dinner
We will have dinner together at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The dinner system is a referred offer, and space is limited. Therefore, it is necessary to contact one of the employees if there is a desire to make use of the dinner system. Tel. 793455.
