Home nursing care
Health visitors provide round-the-clock services to citizens of the Northern Islands who have an assessed need.
Home nursing includes disease prevention, nursing, redevelopment, outreach work and public health guidance. Its purpose is to prevent illness, stimulate the mental and physical health and well-being of the citizen, redevelop lost mobility, stimulate the individual's ability to take care of themselves, and provide care and attention.
Home care is free of charge and involves citizens of all ages, both in relation to acute and chronic illness. Nursing care is provided at the citizen's home or in residence.
