Special transport
The municipality of Klaksvík has accepted the offer of the Ministry of Public Affairs and received agreed financial support for special transport services. Citizens of Klaksvík municipality who comply with the conditions for special transport can therefore use the special transport bus.
The purpose of the system is to provide transportation options for people who have disabilities and are so disabled that they are unable to use public transportation or for a limited time due to illness or injury have this need. The system does not include ambulance transport.
The system will be financed respectively by the country treasury, the local authority and by the users.
